I had a pleasant stay at Metropark Lido Hotel Beijing. The spacious rooms were comfortable, and I appreciated the friendly and helpful staff. However, I did notice that the hotel shows its age, particularly in the bathrooms and carpets. Overall, for the price I paid, it was a good experience, but there are some areas that could be improved.

Rooms
7.0
The room was large and comfortable, though it showed some age with dated decor and a bathroom in need of updates. Despite this, it was clean and tidy, offering good water pressure.
Service
10.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always checking if I needed anything. The service truly made my stay special, especially during my time recovering from an injury.
Location
6.0
The hotel's location is decent, with bars and restaurants nearby, though it’s a bit far from the subway station for those not wanting to walk. Still, it was easy enough to access major destinations around Beijing.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast offered a good variety of options, both Western and Chinese, but the quality seemed to have declined since previous visits. The on-site restaurant served delicious bolognese, which was a nice treat.
Facilities
8.0
The small swimming pool, sauna, and gym facilities were a plus, providing a nice way to unwind after a day of exploring. Room service was prompt and efficient.

7.2/10

I had a comfortable stay at Metropark Lido Hotel. The location is super convenient, just 15 minutes from the airport, which is a major plus. However, I found the rooms to be a bit dated, and there was a lingering smell of smoke despite it being a no smoking floor. The dining options were excellent and reasonably priced, making it easy to find something I enjoyed.

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious and clean, but definitely showing signs of age with old carpeting and some worn furniture. The air conditioning could've used some work too, as my room was quite cold when I checked in.
Service
7.0
Overall, the staff was friendly, especially on the executive floor, but the reception team could improve their English skills for better communication. I felt they could have done more to help when I arrived early.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is perfect for quick airport access and nearby restaurants. However, finding it can be tricky for taxi drivers unfamiliar with the area, so be prepared.
Dining
8.0
I really enjoyed the food options. The hotel had a fantastic variety of restaurants, including a great steakhouse and some that cater to vegetarian diets. The prices were quite reasonable too.
Facilities
8.0
The gym was decent, and I appreciated the pool. The spa offered a nice warm shower which helped me freshen up during my wait for the room.

6.0/10

I recently stayed at the Metropark Lido Hotel Beijing for three nights, and overall, I found it to be a decent choice. The location is excellent, with easy access to the Metro and local dining options, but the hotel itself does feel a bit dated in some areas. The breakfast was quite good, particularly for Western tastes, and the staff were friendly and attentive. However, I felt that the room could benefit from a few more modern touches, such as a proper desk and improved lighting.

Rooms
7.0
My room was spacious and in good condition, but it had a bit of a musty smell and could use a renovation. Additionally, there were no plugs by the bedside, which was inconvenient.
Service
7.0
The housekeeping staff were excellent and always attentive, though I found the reception staff could improve their customer service skills. Communication was a bit challenging due to limited English.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is a big plus, making it easy to explore local bars and restaurants. It's also a great starting point for trips out of the city, though taxi drivers may have difficulty finding it.
Dining
8.0
I enjoyed the breakfast spread, which had a good variety, though the quality could still be improved. The hotel also has some nice dining options, including a vegan restaurant and an Indian place.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities offered, like the pool and spa, were great. I was pleasantly surprised by the array of services available, including a business center and laundry.

My stay at Metropark Lido Hotel Beijing was a mix of positives and negatives. While the location was nice, with a quiet area and local shops nearby, the condition of the hotel was concerning. The rooms, while clean, had a lingering smell of smoke, and the furnishings seemed quite outdated. Overall, I experienced good service from the staff, but language barriers occasionally made communication tricky.

Rooms
6.0
The room was quite spacious and clean, though there was a persistent smell of smoke despite being on a non-smoking floor. The furnishings were definitely outdated, which is unfortunate.
Service
7.0
The staff did their best to be friendly and helpful, but their limited English skills sometimes hindered communication. Still, I appreciated their effort and found some staff members very attentive.
Location
8.0
The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet area with easy access to local shops and restaurants. Additionally, it's a short walk to the metro station, making it easier to reach the city center.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast offered a variety of well-prepared options, including both Chinese and continental dishes. However, the overall food quality seemed to have declined from what I remembered from before.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered various facilities, including room service and housekeeping, which was fairly responsive. But they could definitely enhance some aspects of their service.

5.2/10

My stay at Metropark Lido Hotel Beijing was a bit of a mixed bag. The room was comfy and clean, although there was a lingering smell of smoke, even though they claimed to be smoke-free. I enjoyed the breakfast options, with both Western and Chinese dishes, and the staff were generally quite helpful. However, the location was a bit far from the city center, and the overall vibe of the hotel felt a bit tired, which left me wanting more.

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious and clean with a nice sitting area, but had a musty air and a strong smell of cigarettes. The bathroom was well-kept and came with all the essentials.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful, but I encountered a language barrier. It took quite a while for my room to be ready upon arrival.
Location
6.0
The hotel is in a quiet area, a bit of a trek from the nearest metro station which took about 10 minutes on foot. It's somewhat convenient for getting around the city but expect a 30-40 minute ride to the center.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was decent with a good mix of Chinese and Western options, although I felt the quality could be improved. It was fresh but didn’t have standout dishes.
Facilities
7.0
The gym was a nice perk, but other facilities felt standard for a 4-star hotel. Room service and housekeeping were adequate, but nothing special.
